Jesus Christ the past, present and future hope for mankind. He is man’s greatest gift born of a humble birth and died a tragic death. He conquered death and came to give every, man, woman and child a new life of hope, peace and love in him. A peace beyond understanding that death has not grip on. Philippians 4:7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
God sent his greatest treasure to save the world. Jesus was is and will be God greatest gift to mankind. Just as Jesus holds the place of most treasured gift in God’s heart as his son. Parents hold their children as the most treasured gift in their lives. Pslam 127:3 Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.
Jesus told us he came to give us a gift of new life. Jesus came to give us a new life in harmony with God; through faith in Jesus Christ guided by the Holy Spirit. As parents and children it our sacred duty to cherish the gifts God has given us. As children it’s important you obey and honor your parents for God promise to bless children who honor their parents and obey him.
GOD THE LOVING FATHER
Bless the Lord, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless his holy name. 1 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits, Who forgives all your iniquities, And heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the grave, And crowns you with love and tender mercy, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord is a doer of righteous acts, And of justice to all the oppressed. He made known his laws to Moses, His deeds to the people of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, Patient and full of love. He will not always chide, Nor keep his anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is his love toward those who revere him. As far as the east is from the west, So far has he removed our wrong deeds from us. As a father loves his children,
The peace Jesus promises his followers is an eternal peace for hear and now. The peace is not what the world offers it’s a peace that move beyond man’s understanding. In John 14-27 Jesus said “The Peace, I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. For Christ knew that as followers of him we will have troubles, trials and tribulations; Yet, he reminded us in John 16:33 to be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. For with Jesus he gives the peace of God. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
One of the old testment prophet that exhibited that peace was Daniel. He showed how in trials and tribulations you can have peace when you rely on God.
The 7th-12th grade girls who attend KBC are participating in ministry community service projects under the guidance of their teachers Miss Cari and Miss Diane. The girls served with Forever Fed, a ministry that provides meals and clothing for people in need. Our first joint effort in October 2012 was collecting coats for the needy and the homeless.
A question for teacher from her student.
“I’ve been wondering, who made God?
” I explained that God has always existed.
“But where did He come from?”
I explained we don’t know but His word says he is the self-existent one. She was puzzled. I explained we just couldn’t figure everything out about God. But He reveals so much to us in His word. She sat back down and paid attention better than I remember her doing before. Someone has her thinking .. .
2012 found us busy with many opportunities to share the love and story of Jesus Christ with children and youth! Our dedicated volunteers served faithfully teaching and transporting the kids every Tuesday as well as serving them dinner twice per month at our 2 locations, CrossRoads Community Church and Bascomb United Methodist Church. Kids Bible Clubs (KBC) teamed up with with other fine churches, community ministries and even a mission team all hte way from Michigan. 2012 was a great year for KBC we were able to provide many events where the kids could learn and grow in their faith in Jesus including 3 weeks of Vacation Bible School, 5 camp opportunities. KBC have bibles, school supplies and Christmas Gifts to the children in 2012. KBC recognizes that with your support in prayer, generous giving and volunteer time none of these things would possible. To express our gratitude for God’s provisions through you, we are honored to share the highlights of 2012. Plus, we look foward to sharing the good news with you and the children in 2013.
God Bless You
Sent to you with the Love, Peace and Joy of Jesus Christ.
Marie Alexander and all the KBC staff!
Our 13th annual Happy Birthday Jesus party held on December 14 at Bascomb United Methodist Church was attended by a little over 400 kids in addition to some of their family members! Most arrived in KBC ministry vehicles including 5 buses and 2 vans. Each of the kids received a Christmas gift, birth-day cake and refreshments. <!–more–>For the first time ever, we offered separate programs for the two age groups. SHINE of FBCW presented an excellent program for children up to 5th grade. They demonstrated the true meaning of Christmas through a play, puppetry and music. The gospel message of turning from sin and to Jesus as Savior was clearly explained and many children received Jesus or indicated they wanted to know more. Our youth service for middle and high school students was coordinated by John Kelso. They worshiped, played games, heard a real life testimony of God’s grace in the Life of a former convict and gained a new perspective on the Christmas Story. There were many churches and individuals who stepped up this year to provide the Christmas gifts, funding and labor to make it happen. Whatever part you played, big or small, thank you for honoring the Lord Jesus Christ. His Name was pro-claimed and His love and kindness shown in so many ways. Through your many acts of kindness.
