The vision of Kid’s Bible Clubs is to bring glory to God through fruitful outreach ministries to un-churched children by the united efforts of God’s redeemed people.
Our Mission
Believing we have eternal hope through Jesus Christ, the mission of Kid’s Bible Clubs Ministries is to seek out lost children who do not attend church or live in Christian homes and provide them with a Christ-centered, spiritual foundation where they can hear the gospel, come to Jesus and grow in Him.
Our Focus
God has opened doors for us to conduct Bible Clubs for at-risk children of families with limited social and economic opportunities. Some are from neighborhoods with high levels of substance abuse and dysfunctional homes. Others are children of Hispanic descent who are trying desperately to fit in and adapt to our culture and language. We have a passionate desire to reach out to these kids and their families with the love and compassion of Jesus, even though some come to us with behavioral problems and continual family difficulties.
Although our primary focus is salvation and spiritual guidance, we also assist with meeting the physical and material needs of the children and their families. We believe we have eternal hope to offer these children in Jesus Christ and that with God’s help, we can give them a sense of dignity, self esteem and help them be successful despite their living conditions through the efforts of Kid’s Bible Clubs and our community partners.
We desire to partner with local churches, like-minded organizations, ministries and individuals by encouraging, assisting, and equipping them to accomplish the mission in their local area through the use of proven ministry principles and methods.
Our Approach
"Seek" is the key word that sums up our approach. They cannot come to us, so we go to them. Our volunteers go into the neighborhoods, door-to-door, inviting children to our weekly Bible Clubs, kick-off and special events. We provide transportation via buses and vans.
The goal for these clubs is to make the gospel “come alive” in a creative, fun and structured setting for children who often come from chaotic and troubled backgrounds. Because some live in difficult neighborhoods where illegal drug usage and alcohol abuse are common, we encounter many learning disabilities and discipline problems. Behavioral issues must be monitored constantly. As God guides, the programs are kept very interactive by using visual, auditory and hands-on methods that allow the kids to be themselves in an atmosphere of LOVE and ACCEPTANCE. The plan of salvation is shared regularly in numerous ways.
An age-appropriate Bible is provided for every child who attends. We use a wide range of curriculum material and although we work with the children both in small groups and larger assembly settings, our most effective evangelism and discipleship occur in the small groups, so more time is invested in those sessions. For most of our children, we are standing in the gap to provide spiritual guidance for a non-Christian parent; therefore as God provides leaders we will keep dividing into as many small groups as possible.
Over 20 volunteer staff members perform a variety of ministry functions, including the teachers and assistants for the Bible Club meetings, bus drivers and supervisors, family visitation, snack coordinators, hall monitors, and prayer partners.
In addition to the weekly Bible Club meetings, special events are conducted for the children and their parents. These include monthly birthday parties, summer camps, evangelistic Christmas outreaches for children and their families such as ‘Happy Birthday Jesus” parties and bussing to local church events including Vacation Bible Schools, Fall Family Festivals and Community Health Fairs.
